On 24 July 2008, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) adopted regulations mandating that oceangoing cargo and passenger cruise vessels use low-sulphur marine distillate fuel within 24 nautical miles of the shore and prohibiting use of less-expensive heavy fuel oil, so-called bunker fuel.

CT Appeals Holds Willful and Wanton Conduct May Overcome Fire Alarm Limitation of Liability Contract Provision - Breaking Legal News and/or Recall Alerts - A 10th circuit court upheld a decision allowing an expert to testify as the court felt it should be left to the jury to decided what to believe.
