Cozen O’Connor has completed its acquisition by merger of Moss & Barnett, one of Minnesota’s leading law firms, adding more than 50 attorneys and bringing the overall roster to over 1,000 attorneys.

Acacia concentrates her practice on representing lenders in the origination and sale of loans secured by multifamily projects. Her experience extends to navigating the complexities of the secondary market, where she collaborates with major investors such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

In her role, Acacia meticulously prepares and negotiates loan documents, ensuring that all legal aspects are thoroughly addressed. Her responsibilities also include evaluating legal opinions, examining title and survey matters, and conducting comprehensive due diligence to guarantee regulatory compliance.

Before embarking on her legal career, Acacia gained valuable experience as an affordable housing developer. This background equips her with a unique perspective that enhances her effectiveness as lender’s counsel. Her solution-oriented mindset allows her to address challenges proactively, ensuring that her clients' needs are met efficiently.

Acacia joined the firm as part of the highly regarded real estate practice group from Moss & Barnett in 2026. She holds a Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in entrepreneurship from Xavier University.
