Jeff is a labor and employment attorney with over 15 years of in-house and outside counsel experience in global compliance, contracts, corporate governance, and litigation.

Jeff began his career as a labor and employment associate and, later, as counsel with a national law firm. There, he provided tactical, transactional, and strategic labor and employment law support and gained experience guiding clients through RIFs and restructurings. He also obtained favorable litigation results in state and federal employment and education law claims, such as the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, IDEA, NJLAD, NLRA, Title VII, and WARN Act.

More recently, Jeff served as corporate counsel to an autonomous vehicle startup, where he handled a broad range of employment law matters, such as multi-national employment agreements, global independent contractor compliance, staffing agency contracts, global workforce management, and workforce restructurings.

Before that, Jeff served as associate corporate counsel for a large international company, directing labor and employment law compliance for more than 11,000 employees across 48 states and 30 countries. There, he managed all traditional labor law matters and collective bargaining negotiations, directed all global employment litigation, advised on employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions, and drafted and negotiated corporate governance documents such as the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Jeff also created and presented global training on anti-corruption, anti-discrimination, data privacy, disability, employee relations, and modern slavery/supply chain transparency.

Jeff’s clients also benefit from his experience in the growing field at the intersection of the law and artificial intelligence, where he has first-hand experience developing large language AI models to improve prompt recognition and generative abilities in the legal domain. As a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Artificial Intelligence team, Jeff seeks to use this experience to drive cutting-edge AI solutions for the firm and its clients.

Jeffrey earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D., with high honors, from Rutgers University School of Law, where he served on the Rutgers Law Journal.
