Derick leverages his extensive insurance experience to offer his clients a proactive defense, including litigating complex first and third-party insurance claims and coverage issues across all lines of insurance. Derick has been able to showcase his comprehensive skill set for clients in innumerable depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Derick’s depth of litigation experience informs his coverage practice and allows him to provide clients with a practical analysis of their coverage issues.

Before joining the firm, Derick practiced insurance coverage and defense for a Texas-based firm where he handled personal injury, construction defect, general liability, and commercial property claims.

Derick earned his J.D. in 2015 from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he was the associate editor of the Corporate Counsel Review. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010, majoring in philosophy.
