He also manages expert strategy in technically complex and high-exposure matters.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Spencer was a partner at a national law firm, where he managed a broad range of civil litigation. Earlier in private practice, he handled insurance litigation, developing defense strategies, negotiating settlements, advising clients on litigation risk and resolution, and working with appellate counsel on briefing and appellate strategy.
Spencer began his legal career as an assistant state attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, where he investigated and prosecuted felony cases involving fraud, violent crime, and public corruption and conducted jury and bench trials. He also served on the office's Police Accountability and Integrity Team, handling high-profile public corruption matters.
