This new law seeks to ban the practice of including a check-off box on a job application that asks whether the individual has a criminal past. Michael urges employers to make sure that their job ads and hiring practices are in line with the new law and also emphasizes the importance of training hiring personnel to make sure that they are sensitive to the new regulations in place.
